Room for improvement?

Whilst this site wishes to encourage use of Hamstreet's train service, it also recommends that passengers speak up about issues where improvement is needed. The most obvious area is co-operation of Southern with rival network Southeastern at Ashford International. Nobody is asking for the operator to compromise its performance statistics by waiting endlessly for incoming trains, but if for example a train from Folkestone or Canterbury is coming into platform 2 at Ashford at 18.32 and the Southern service for Hamstreet is in platform 1 and scheduled to leave at 18.32, a one minute wait would be all that is required to make a huge difference to passengers' overall journeys. Please email Southern via their website or ask for a complaint form at the station WHENEVER this occurs. No company wants its complaint numbers to go up, so eventually they will have to respond.

All times are taken from Southern Railways' East Coatway timetable. No responsibilty is taken for error in copying.
